Frequency (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (provided directly or via Sign In with Apple)
- Name (if provided through Sign In with Apple)
Sign In with Apple users may choose to hide their email address, in which case Apple provides a private relay address.
User-Generated Content
When you use the app, we store:
- Topics you submit for lesson plan generation
- Generated lesson plans, lessons, and quick answers
- Your progress and completion status for each lesson
Usage Data
We collect basic usage data to improve the app:
- Daily plan generation counts (to manage free tier limits)
- General app interaction data via Firebase Analytics (anonymized)
Audio Data
When you generate audio for lessons, the audio files are created and stored on our servers. No voice data is collected from your device.
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Generate and deliver personalized lesson plans and audio content
- Track your learning progress across lessons
- Enforce daily usage limits for the free tier
- Improve app performance and user experience
Data Storage and Security
- Account and lesson data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway
- Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device’s Keychain
- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties
Third-Party Services
Frequency uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) for analytics and app performance monitoring
- Railway for backend hosting and data storage
- Apple Sign In for authentication
Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.
Data Retention
- Your account and lesson data is retained as long as your account is active
- You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of analytics data collection
Children’s Privacy
Frequency is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
